- Hunter:
-
- Hunter is optionally, either a Strategy, or an Action game. It has
- options to alter the size of the mission, to such a degreee that you
- can only complete it using strategy. (To some extent).
-
- Basicaly, no matter what you do - you have to go around shooting people
- and blowing up silo's etc.
-
- The graphics are quite acceptable for such a game, with plenty of shades
- of green :) Some of the graphics are a bit odd, in one case you have
- to find a person, which I found quite difficult, because the guy I
- was supposed to find, looked like a coat-rack in a house.
-
- It takes hours to finish it, but has a reasonable amount of variety to
- keep you going for a while. The 3D works reasonably well, apart from
- the fact that as soon as you go behind something, you can't walk through
- the back of it, which causes problems, as the objects turn invisible,
- making navigation awkward. Getting into/out of vehicles is simple enough,
- but occassionally you keep hopping back into them, when you are nowhere
- there them, which is rather annoying!
-
- Plenty of little extras, like sharks swimming around. The enemy soldiers
- swim out to greet you with a bullet through the head. Little animals
- wander around which you aren't supposed to kill, or you lose credit.
-
- Assortet different weapons, ranging from a hand-pistol, to a rocker
- launcher, and timed explosives.
- Bulls that charge at you (persistently).
-
- Lots of different buildings etc. Assorted enemy weaponry, dozens
- of different vehicles to get into, ranging from a surf-board,
- to an apache-like helicopter.
-
- If you like a bit of violence it's good. For those who like high-speed
- shoot 'em ups, it's probably not, as it can take quite a while before
- anything can happen! (Lots of travelling....)
-
-
- ST-Format (and others) had a review of it, around a year ago, so you
- may be able to trace down their review. From memory, ST-Format gave
- Hunter around 85% somewhere!
