Spectre GCR from Gadgets by Small plus a set of Mac ROMS will cost you about $500,
which will effectively turn your ST into a Mac-Plus (mono--no color options yet).
It currently runs System 6.0.5 pretty good--no system 7. And almost all the Mac software I've tried (besides a few games) has worked flawlessly. It's very
transparent to the user, once you get used to different control keys and taking
floppy disks out yourself.
For your ST, I'd say you need at least 2M RAM and a hard drive (as for any Mac).
