- A friend at SUNY-Albany would like to use his 520ST as a terminal to work
- off the school's UNIX cluster. I have been pleasantly surprised by the
- machine but don't know anything about it.
-
- 1. What cable should be used to connect the 25-pin "modem" port
- to the external Hayes-compatible modem?
- 2. Is there shareware that can enable him to emulate a VT100
- and use Kermit protocol?
- 3. Where to find good shareware.
-
- He has a double-sided 3.5 inch disk drive, which I assume is 720K.
- A user in the Netherlands tells me that the machine could probably
- read IBM formatted disks (since I will have to download it and
- get it to him somehow).
-
- All help appreciated.
