- I would like some help, and am willing to try to make it worth your
- time to help me. I want the binary (executable) code for the ST
- version of a Scheme implementation called Scm. I know where to ftp
- the C source code for Scm, but I do not have a C compiler on my ST
- (nor do I want one). The Scm package includes a makefile for
- compiling Scm using the GNU compiler on the ST. I would like someone
- to ftp the Scm package, compile it, arc it, uuencode it, and mail it
- to me. In return I will send that person, via 1st class US mail,
- their choice of two games, either Balance of Power (by Mindscape)
- or The Pawn (by Rainbird). Both of these games are paid-for, complete
- in original boxes, with manuals, etc. I only need one copy of Scm, so this
- offer is made on a first come, first served basis. Drop me a line...
-
- A few words about Scm, straight from comp.lang.scheme:
-
- Scm conforms to Revised^4 Report on the Algorithmic Language Scheme
- and the IEEE P1178 specification. Scm is written in C and runs under
- Amiga, Atari-ST, MacOS, MS-DOS, OS/2, NOS/VE, VMS, Unix and similar
- systems. ASCII and EBCDIC are supported.
-
- SCM can be obtained via FTP (detailed instructions follow) from:
- altdorf.ai.mit.edu:archive/scm/scm4b2.tar.Z
- prep.ai.mit.edu:pub/gnu/jacal/scm4b2.tar.Z
- nexus.yorku.ca:pub/scheme/new/scm4b2.tar.Z
-
- ftp altdorf.ai.mit.edu [18.43.0.246] (anonymous)
- bin
- cd archive/scm
- get scm4b2.tar.Z
- or
- ftp prep.ai.mit.edu (anonymous)
- bin
- cd pub/gnu/jacal
- get scm4b2.tar.Z
-
- `scm4b2.tar.Z' is a compressed tar file of the C code distribution.
-
- This is a nice package. So far as I know it is not available on the
- Atari archive at umich, though it ought to be.
