- Sorry, Stuart, but I rather understood from the original poster that he was
- considering purchasing either a floptical or hard drive. My intent with the
- "s-l-o-w" remark was simply to insure he didn't expect hard disk performance
- from a floptical (many folks assume that since it's 21Mb, it _must_ be fast).
- Speed is always relative, and I was comparing it to hard drives, not floppies.

- I agree, the floptical is faster than most other floppy drives, but I do NOT
- think it is a wise choice for one's only PRIMARY storage. Buy a hard disk
- first; then when you can afford it, the floptical makes much more sense, IMHO.
