The quality of messages here are far more informative, in fact some are
 taken from here & reposted into fido by people!
The quality of this network leaves fido for dead... if you see someone
 talking about some program here, you can get them to mail it to you with
 no problems (I've received 700K files by email before!).. you can't
 do that on fidonet.
(BTW: I'm only on 2400bps too, paying for my access)

and lastely, there are a lot of the 'big names' in the atari comunity here,
 even the person writing MultiTOS for the Falcon... you don't see that on
 FIDO.

Stick around, this flame war is only a temporary thing that started probably
 because atari is pissing around getting the Falcon out. It will die out soon.

If you have any problems, you can usually get an answer from this great
 bunch of people in a day or 2... you can't beat that for service!
