  38. This is a request for discussion on the creation of a newsgroup for
  39. debates about the Atari range of personal computers.

  51. This group will separate a section of discussion from the current
  52. newsgroup comp.sys.atari.st and atari.8bit.

  54. The discussion of advocacy currently takes up over 50% of the items
  55. in the atari.st newsgroup and so it is felt that the original
  56. purpose of the newsgroup is being left behind.
  57.  
  58. New users and people who need information about the Atari ST can
  59. continue to use the original group and would hopefully get more
  60. attention if there is less advocacy mail present.

  62. What a FAQ for this group could contain is also a matter for
  63. discussion.
