- Thanks to those who responded to the EA--Cartooners sound/music
- file format question. Further to a suggestion, I looked at the
- beginning of a sound file, in this case "Boing", in the MUSIC
- directory:
-
-
- FORM 0SMUSSHDR = IRev BIAS INS1
- BOING INS1 BOING INS1 BOING INS1 BOING
- NAME boing (c) Public Domain TRAK %
-
- This file is only 1 block long. There is also a BOING file in
- the INSTRUMENTS directory; its
- beginning looks like:
-
- FORM tASIFNAME BOING WAVE BOING
-
- This file is 18 blocks long. Looks like an ASIF file; but both
- files, the MUSIC directory
- "boing" file and the INSTRUMENT directory "boing.ins1" file are
- needed to create a sound or music (from within Cartooners).
-
- So, does anyone recognize the MUSIC/Boing file header? Are
- there any music or sound programs out there that will manipulate
- these files? Any info is appreciated.
