  12. IBM text files have returns followed by linefeeds, so the returns are where
  13. they should be but every line _except the first_ has a Ctrl-J at the beginning
  14. (there is probably also a lone extra line at the end with just a Ctrl-J in it).

  16. Those files weren't transferred in text mode properly. If they were, you
  17. wouldn't be seeing the linefeeds like this.
