  18. The "ALERT! ALERT!" is generated by the GS.Spy.2 INIT, which
  19. intercepts the GS/OS format and erase calls.  A friend of mine is
  20. using this INIT with System 6 without any problems, so there may be a
  21. conflict with another INIT.

  32. Are you running System 5, then?  This file shouldn't be there if
  33. you're running System 6 (I see you have the System 6 versions of
  34. Tool.Setup, TS2 and TS3).

  36. How did you install the system software?  Did you use the Installer
  37. that comes with System 6, or just copy the files yourself?  It seems
  38. that you have a mixture of files from at least two versions of the
  39. system software, which is likely to be causing problems.

  41. Try reinstalling System 6, using the Installer this time (Custom
  42. installation).
