  11. I still dunno - our net had a unix box, messy-dos boxes, Macs, and one Amiga.
  12. It took us a little over two weeks to put it all together - over 100 liniar
  13. miles with bridges and routers too, and once it was up, it stayed up with
  14. no problems until I left (a year later).  If your systems people are always
  15. tweaking the system, I'd question the quality of the original installation.

  17. (um.. I neglected to mention, this is an ethernet LAN)

  19. The software was easy to deal with (granted not an integral part of the 
  20. LAN, but still something to consider), and installing the cable was a breeze
  21. (of course, a TDR makes things a lot easier than "does this work? How about now?")
  22.  
  23. so... it still remains, I'd rather drive my V-8 than some silly little 4-banger.
