- Well I just read a review of Wing Commander (Amiga version ) and it seems
- nice enough on a stock amiga. Works, it is preferible to have a 14MHZ 68000,
- but then again, if you were running MS-DOS you would need at least 12MHZ 286
- and that feels sluggish. So buy an A1200...Then tell me that $1ff680 or
- whatever that super-easy to remember address was still works. (Forgot to write
- it on the back of my hand, is that what you do?) It uses enough of the OS to
- be hard drive installable, works on 68030 and maybe the A4000, the review
- posted to c.s.a.reviews didn't test it on one. Too bad the sticker didn't say
- on the cover.
- To the person who wanted names of programs which didn't work with newer
- machines, I lost The Works!, Platium Edition when I upgraded my 500 to WB2.04,
- and the Immortal doesn't work on higher than 68000, worked with KS2.04 mind
- you, I tried it. At least that made it clear on the box that it doesn't work
- with accelators. The original verion of DigiPaint 3 didn't like WB2.04, but
- they released a bug fix I guess, they never contacted me though. :-( That's
- over $200 at list price of software that didn't work for me between WB2.04 and
- my A3000.
- Remember to support SafeHex when engaging with your Amiga. :)
