- I'm going to keep this simple:
- The claims that the Vivid24 is so much faster than a high end SGI
- box are ludicrous. The Reality Engine does 800 MFLOPS NOT COUNTING
- the 4 R4000's inside it, for $100,000. 600,000 textured polygons/sec.
- Compare that to 100,000 CLAIMED (probably not sustained) shaded polygons/sec
- on the DMI board.

- I'm not knocking it, but lets not claim this is the be-all and end-all of
- graphics hardware.
