- I've got one of each ( 85 ELS and 80 LPS ) in a dual bay external HD case
- attached to a 3000. I'd was looking for another 80 LPS, but the 85 ELS was
- all they had in stock.

- I've never run a quantitative speed comparison on them, but haven't noticed
- any significant performance differences in day to day use.

- They do sound different. The old LPS sort of 'burbles'. The new ELS has
- more of a 'click' to it. Neither of them is annoying, but the ELS sound
- is more noticable.
