  16.   a while back I posted the Mark Dostie had ripped me off.  It was a big 
  17. misunderstanding and I apologize for my post.

  19.   He was in the middle of a move and lost net access for a while. He has
  20. sent me my money and everything is cool.

  22.   Obviously, it was a personal transaction between me and M.D. and his 
  23. employer had absolutely nothing to do with it. I did not mean to imply
  24. any connection to his company.

  27.   WHAT HAPPENED:

  30.   The first money order he sent never got here. So, he had to trace it
  31. and issue another one. However, he sent mail saying he should be able to
  32. cancel the first one and send a new money order by the end of the week.

  34.   This is where the misunderstanding was. I took that to mean he would
  35. send the money order by the end of the week. He meant he "thought he
  36. could do it by the end of the week" but that I would not get the new MO 
  37. until the first one was traced etc.. It turned out that the trace etc.
  38. took a while - however he did not inform me about that (though I guess
  39. he thought he did).

  41.   To make matters worse, he lost net access after that (but I didn't
  42. know that). When I did not get any response for several weeks (over a
  43. month after the last e-mail), I assumed the worst and posted his name 
  44. and address to the net. I did send mail to root on his system first but 
  45. got no response.

  47.   I apologize for the inconvenience and problems this has caused Mark
  48. Dostie and his employers. I also apologize for the strong wording in my
  49. post (ripped me off!). I really needed the money at the time (for my
  50. fees) and was very upset when I thought I had been taken - I know
  51. this is no excuse, but those were the circumstances.
