- I have a copy of FixDisk, by Werner Gunther. This is a freely-
- distributable program that will fix up corrupted disks in place.
- The version I have is 1.2. I don't know whether there's a newer
- one - this one is a couple of years old - but it's saved my bacon
- several times. One limitation is that it can only handle hard disk
- partitions up to 48 megabytes in size, but my partitions are smaller
- than that anyway.
-
- FixDisk and DiskSalv are two utilities that I wouldn't do
- without. If there's any way to recover data from a munged disk,
- one or the other should be able to do it.

- I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.
