  11. Your information on packet units (TNC's) is slightly incorrect.  There
  12. is no special software required to drive the TNC, just use a standard
  13. term program, such as the one that you use to call BBS's.  The TNC
  14. uses standardized commands from the term program, internally converts
  15. them into x.25 packets which are fed into the audio of your radio.  You
  16. can purchase any number of TNC, Kamtronics (which I use), AEA, etc, as
  17. long as they are external devices.  The only TNC's that you can't use,
  18. at least directly, are those that fit internally into a IBM PC or MS-DOS
  19. machine.  Hopefully this will help.
