- Hi.
-
- We're having a problem with our Amiga 2000 (with Toaster, GVP Series
- II 68040 accellerator/hd controller, Maxtor Hard Drive). For no
- apparent reason, the machine will shutdown as if the off-switch was
- pushed. No Guru. Just shutdown.
-
- It was doing it every single day for a few days (several times a day),
- and when we took it in to get looked at, the problem would not show
- itself. :p (they ran it for 3 days and nights straight) Within another
- day of being back, it was doing it's shutdown routine again, much to
- our irritation. I spoke with a tech at Commodore (before taking it in
- to the shop), and he suggested it might be the power source heating up,
- but there is no apparent excess heat anywhere on the case of the Amiga
- when it shuts down.
-
- Also, there is no apparent correlation between what's currently being
- run and the shutdown times...it happens when we're using the Toaster, and
- when it's just sitting at the Workbench.
-
- Anyone have any problems like this? If so, what did you do?
