: Well, I have been using one of these monitors for the last couple of weeks
: now and have nothing but praise for it. There is not a mode that I am
: aware of that the A4000 can generate which it cannot handle. The picture
: is very sharp and I've not noticed any blooming, tearing, or other artifacts
: which detract from it.
: As for the dot-pitch, you should perhaps wait to see one before you pass
: judgement on it. It looks, to my eyes, to be as sharp or sharper than the
: 14" SVGA with .28 dot-pitch that I was using previously. At 800x600, you
: can make out the individual lines in a band of alternating black and white
: vertical bars, something which can't be said for many 14" monitors...
: However, many people find the size of the pixels in the 320xXXX modes to
: be a bit disconcerting. It is almost as if you are working in the magnify
: mode of DPaint... :-)

I, too have an Idek 5017 - and can do nothing but sing its praises. GORGEOUS monitor! .31dot pitch makes NO difference - it looks better than my Sony 1604 with .25mm dot pitch! And 800x600 is gorgeous!
