- I had a similar problem with a 500. The problem is/was with the hard drive.
- I have a seagate and it has a sticktion(sp) problem. The lubricant on the
- surfacce gels a bit and the drive cannot spin up. This cause random errors
- during boot or program run id disk accesses happen. This is/was a problem
- with seagate brand drives, particularly the five inch variety.
