- Subject: Screen Resets on Amiga 3000's

- Does anyone have any advice on startup-sequences on an Amiga 3000? I
- use custom fonts and overscan on my WB screen and when the system boots, it
- comes up with the "close all stuff" requester and sits there until the
- original startup-CLI ends. Then, when it resets the screen, any icons that
- were snapshotted so as to be off of the original screen are moved to fit on
- the new one. Is it possible to launch a background disattached process to
- carry out additional commands so that the original CLI window is closed?
- It looks REALLY tacky to have your screen come up in some bizarre mode and
- then switch and screw up all the icons! Also, how in the HELL are you
- *supposed* to set the default screenmode to interlace? When I installed
- 2.1, it didn't bother to ask and I had to copy an old system-configuration
- file from 2.03 disks. What exactly is the format of that bloody file and
- how do you change it?
