  12. I will be buying an A1200 next week, but plan to hook it up to
  13. my old 1084 monitor.  I know that the 1084 will not be able to
  14. display the doublescanned or productivity modes.

  16.  Here's my question:  Does sending higher scan rates to the 1084
  17.  than it can handle result in a garbled display, or is there a
  18.  possibility of doing harm to the monitor?
  19.   
  20.   I had no plans to try it, I just want to make sure to be extra
  21.   careful if there is a chance to destroy my monitor.
