  11. Seems like it would be a good idea to unhook some of your extra equipment,
  12. (like everything except the cpu), and see if the "cold boot" speeds up any.  
  13. If you are really tricky you might pop the case of your 500, (I hope the 
  14. warranty is up!), and measure the voltages on the DC input connector as you
  15. power up.
