  19. I'm  having huge problems with my newly bought HST modem, so I'm crying for 
  20. your help 8)

  23. One  of  the  problems  is, that I recieve bad CRC's when downloading to my 
  24. harddrive.
  25. There  is no problem at all when I am downloading to ram.  The bad  CRC's  
  26. pops  up
  27. when  the  modembuffer is full, and it's time for the harddrive  to  do  its 
  28. job.  I
  29. have tried to change the buffer size without any  improvements.   I  don't 
  30. think it's
  31. because  of  a  slow  harddrive,  cuz  I  get transfer rates about 1 mb/sec
  32. (A590/Q105LPS)

  34. Secondly:   If  I  use  the  build-in phonebook in the terminalprograms I'm 
  35. using  (Term,  Terminus/JRComm,  NComm,  XComm), I will recieve nothing but 
  36. trash  when i get a connect, or I will simply recieve a guru.  What's going on?

  41. I've  tried  all the HST setting programs that I've been able to find, I've 
  42. checked my cable, and I've seen the modem working very well on a peecee.

  45. Is  the  problem  with  the  CRC's caused by lack of real-fast ram (all the 
  46. real-fast ram on the A590 are used upon bootup)?

  48. My  machinery:   A500  rev6a  with  1/2 meg chip and 1.8 meg slow fast ram,
