  17. Try the Utah Raster Toolkit (URT) It is a collection of image
  18. handling/processing programs for UNIX/X Windows that enable you to work
  19. with .rle files. Actually, the .rle format is defined by URT. I am
  20. pretty sure you can get URT from any of the major ftp sites. I am pretty
  21. sure it can convert to .GIF, but even if not, I am sure it will convert
  22. to a format from which you can easily convert to anything else you want.
