- Yes, AVID magazine still exists. Jim Plant, the originator and
- publisher of it recently sold it to Pacific Media Publishing,
- 365 Victor Suite H, Salinas, CA, 93907. (408-758-9386).
- Jim wanted to put all his efforts into Video Toaster User. Now,
- why AVID subscribers are getting a new VTU issue I don't know.. could
- be just a freebie from Jim to get new subscribers. He's been very
- liberal with "sample issues" in the past. The new issue of AVID
- is overdue, but since I write for them (and thus have financial
- interest in it) I have kept in close touch with the new publisher
- who told me just a few days ago that it just came back from the
- printer and should be winging its way to subscribers and
- newsstands by now.
-
- You can reach Jim Plant as "avid@cup.portal.com".
- Pacific Media Publishing doesn't have an email address yet but they
- should be online on Portal soon, and since Portal is fully
- Internet-connected, they'll be mailable from anywhere... so I'll
- advise when that happens. :)
