  12.    Well, I guess I must warn you guys, there are probably mail order companies
  13. and stores who haven't gotten rid of their old Wing Commander stock. Before
  14. buying, I would advise you to ask them if the version they have is the updated
  15. version. Around January 14th is when they started sending out the new improved
  16. version of this game. The company or store should know about it since Mindscape
  17. should've told them. If you live in the U.S., your best bet is with AmigaMan
  18. or Computer Basics for they should only have my version of Wing Commander in
  19. stock. It didn't become apparent until one person mailed me saying they still
  20. got 16-colors on one they just received. However, Amigaman sold out of their
  21. older stock before the new ones came in. That's why when I ordered my copy on
  22. Christmas, I had to wait until january 14th before they even sent it out.
  23.    The game plays ok in 16-color, but after playing it in 32 colors, 16 doesn't
  24. do it justice. By the way, is there anyone else here on the net that has a
  25. 32 color version?? I haven't heard from any of those people. I'm just hoping
  26. I'm not the only one with 32 colors on Wing commander. I do remember someone
  27. here with an A3000 saying that they had it with 32 colors, if you could send
  28. me a holler about it too, perhaps I can clear up this investigation. I just
  29. tend to have trouble calling a company in England from my dorm room. I guess
  30. normally one doesn't care, but I kind of wish everybody had this version. It
  31. is a project that opens a lot of hope in Mindscape. At least we won't have this
  32. problem in Wing Commander 2. There won't be a 16-color only version for that one.
