- Well, the theory I was trying to involve in my last post to you was
- that this kind of thing belongs in advocacy and not in comp.sys.amiga.games.
- Remember I said again and again that my post was a review about the game, I
- made fair statements about it, I had no intention to turn it into a flame
- war. Why does everything have to become a flame war?? I can't write one single
- innocent post on this thing without rash comments. This is not comp.sys.amiga
- .games. This is comp.sys.amiga.flames in my opinion and I won't stand for this
- kind of stuff on this newsgroup. If you want to talk IBM, I would say this is
- not the newsgroup for you. People need benchmarks to know speed, I could only
- compare Wing commander justfully with other ports of it. By the way, 256 colors
- does not a game make. But if all you can do is turn down the machine in this
- newsgroup, I'd say (like a popular line from Raiders of the Lost Ark), "You're
- digging in the wrong place!"
-
- Now for a constructive part of my post. I tried the Gunship 2000 demo, but
- that copy crashes my system after a few minutes. Looks fun with a nice frame
- rate, but does anyone know the commands to select a new target, or do something
- other than move around, select, and fire? I got some pretty wicked views, some
- are new to me and I'm still not sure what to call em. I just name some,
- David Letterman's thrill cam 1 and David Letterman's thrill cam 2 and so on.
