- Chuckle, 386 at 16mhz? Well standard mhz is 33 now and thats almost to fast
- for it. I have a 66mhz and had to turn off my cache to get a chance to play
- it. While I agree that amiga is a better machine on paper then the ibm types
- time for the amiga is/has run out. Before you buy that 1200 perhaps you
- should think about the future of commadore. I bailed out because I had
- no desire to have to mail order my games from europe in a few more years.
- Also point two is that wing commander is OLD for the ibm, think its been at
- least a year since its release, and civilization is the same. I for one got
- sick of waiting to see if they would make an 'amiga version'. If you want to
- see state of the art (well almost its old too) try wing commander II on a
- 486 - whatever. Smooth, great graphics (much better then on one) better
- game play, and the sound is fantastic with a soundblaster (aprox $85 for that)
- now the question is will they make THAT one for amiga, and for that matter
- will they make privateer (the new game from the WC series) EVER for the
- amiga, and will it be in 2 years, long after it has gathered dust on the
- ibm users shelves?
