- A buddy of mine just bought a Clarity 16 for his 4000. Basically, the thing
- ddoes not work on his machine. The software does not run correctly from
- the Hard drive, so you have to boot from the Clarity floppy disk. Yuk.
- Then, when you do have it running, sample playback suffers from some kind
- of interference. It sounds like digital clipping. These sample samples
- sound fine through the Amiga sound channels though. We could not sample
- anything of our own. The results were pure digital noise with just small
- fragments of the input signal way low in the background.
- In short, its completely no good on his 4000.
- The manual mentions several times the 1200, so it might work better on it
- or any other older machine.
- Oh , the MIDI interface does work fine.
-
- I hoping that he just has a bum unit that can be replaced....
