- Well, there could be 2 reasons for this happening:
-
- 1) you're objects are out of Imagine's "world" size (i.e. parts are
- missing, because they're not in the area Imagine renders... It's like
- having a room with a light on in it, with total blackness around the
- room... If you stick your hand through the wall, your hand won't be there
- on the other side, because it's to dark to see. Just a cheesy analogy :)
-
- 2) you're running out of RAM. This happens sometimes, Imagine doesn't
- have enough ram to do it's calculations, and it will miss polygons when
- it's rendering.
-
- Solutions:
-
- 1) select all the objects in your scene (including the camera), and scale
- them all down.
-
- 2) if the solution for 1) doesn't help, try deleting one (or two), of the
- objects from your scene (make sure you snapshot them first, to keep their
- position in your scene). If that helps, then I'd suggest you goto the
- Detail editor, and do a little hack and slash on your objects, to cut
- down on their size. Or, if you're using a lot of brushmaps (especially
- altitude maps), you might want to remove a few, and try using some
- Algorithmic textures instead... Or, what's a bit more expensive, but
- works even better (saves time etc), is to buy more ram. :) Hope
- that helps you out some. TTYRS
