- :Uh... maybe in a science fiction article. As far as I know, no life
- :as been found anywhere off earth. Not even bacteria.
-
- I know this is off topic, but I'm not the one who brought it up and I'm
- going to make this accurate.
-
- NASA officially states on all planets (besides Earth of course) that
- there is no life them EXCEPT MARS. The official report is listed as
- "inconclusive". I believe this is partially due to a researhcer who
- found proof that bacteria could exist in harsh conditions (though his
- reasearch in antartica - where he is missing and presumed dead, but
- they found all his results and confirmed them). However, neither of the
- Viking Mars landers were equiped with the devices necessary to prove
- it or not (due to the more recent dicovery), Mars is the only other
- planet in our solar system that could allow life (by current scientific
- defition), this is NASA's official statement.
-
- This is all to the best of my knowlege. Please correct me if situations
- have changed.
