- Hi,
-
- A couple of weeks ago I posted a request for course notes. Many people
- responded with "I want a copy of what you get". Well with the exception
- of those responses I received nothing. Here is the outline of the course
- I am now trying to put notes together for:
-
- ==========================================================================
- Introduction to Khoros and Cantata Course
-
- Session 1:
- UNIX and X-Windows environment
- .cshrc or .khoros_env
- .Xdefaults
- vman
- Image creation and display
- Data representation and conversion
- point, neighborhood and transform operators
- Xprism2 and Xprism3
- batch processing
-
- Session 2:
- building standalone applications
-
-
- The format is about 2 hours of lecture followed by a hands on practice
- session (lecture is in the morning and the practice session may last the
- rest of the day).
-
- Prerequisites: a basic understanding of image processing is required
- for the first session. People deciding to attend the second session
- should be familiar with C programming and be able to use either the vi or
- emacs editors.
- ==========================================================================
-
- The first session I pretty much can handle, but I have yet to try building
- a standalone application by linking in library routines. I guess I should
- at least try that once before I get in front of a class. This will take
- me some time to organize because of all of the other things I need to do
- around here.
-
- Help will still be gladly wellcomed.
