  12. I have a question concerning the "cutting" of subimages from an image.
  13. Editimage provides the means to extract a rectangular part of any image,
  14. but for MANY applications this seems insufficient, at least to me.
  15. Has anyone ever written an xvroutine to cut more complicated
  16. structures, say unions of polygons, from a displayed image
  17. interactively?  (The selected region may then be masked by a newly
  18. created binary image, or the rest clipped to 0.0, or whatever...)
  19.  
  20. If so, I would be very grateful to hear about it.
  21. (I hope this is a common problem.)
