  18. I am wondering if anyone can me what the status of Japanese OCR is.

  20. I understand that there are palmtops that are supposed to read handwritten
  21. Japanese characters.  Are these accurate?

  23. Does this mean that there is a substantial amount of accurate OCR software 
  24. available that could be used to convert fax files, gif files, etc into
  25. Japanese text?

  27. It is not uncommon for fax cards sold in the U.S. to include some sort
  28. of OCR software that recognizes English.  Do fax cards sold in Japan come
  29. bundled with Japanese OCR software, or will they be in the future?
