  19. Jersey area (a.k.a "Video Valley" ), namely:

  24.  Both of these labs have hired away a bunch of people from Sarnoff
  25. labs and elsewhere. These two and Matsushita (also in Burlington, New
  26. Jersey), as well as the Korean company Samsung are focusing on
  27. comsumer video development, particularly HDTV standards. Of my
  28. original RCA group of about 20 in 1981 more then half now work for one
  29. of these companies! Its the research engineering equivalent of
  30. Baseball Free Agency. I'm just waiting for my agent to find the right
  31. insentive clause for me...
