- Hi. I recently set up my computer with a TCP/IP package and
- PC-Xview. After a bit of trouble I got things to work. However, I am
- having some problems. First, I had to set up PC-Xview with the display
- set for 4-bit 800x600:6ah, since PC-Xview does not support my video card
- (Diamond Stealth 1meg). Is there any way to get to 1024x768 and 8-bit
- color?
- Secondly, once I've set up the machine and have logged on to
- Rensselaer's remote system, I can only bring up about three things (xterms,
- clocks, etc) before the machine gives me the command that the display
- cannot be opened. Does this sound like a memory problem? I have 4 megs
- and PC-Xview claims to have access to 15 megs of virtual memory...
-
- Thanks,
