- I am beginning to evaluate software lib to allow remote procedure calls/
- TCP programming between PC and Unix boxes. The PCs willbe running database
- front-end applications in Windows, and communicating with daemons running
- on Unix host.
-
- I only know of two packages so far:
- 1- FTP's TC/TCP Development Kit
- 2- Distinct TCP/IP for Windows
-
- I am looking for comments/suggestions that you may have on what is a
- better package and from whom it maybe.
-
- Also, since I already have PC-NFS from sun, would I have to buy
- FTP's or Distinct's other softwares to replace it?
-
- Which one will be more flexible, especially in a database application?
- (ie. Informix, Oracle and Sybase)?
-
- Thanks inadvance,
- pls reply to: felicia@csd4.csd.uwm.edu
