  13. I am beginning to evaluate software lib to allow remote procedure calls/
  14. TCP programming between PC and Unix boxes.  The PCs willbe running database
  15. front-end applications in Windows, and communicating with daemons running
  16. on Unix host.
  17.  
  18. I only know of two packages so far:
  19.  1-   FTP's TC/TCP Development Kit
  20.  2-   Distinct TCP/IP for Windows
  21.  
  22. I am looking for comments/suggestions that you may have on what is a 
  23. better package and from whom it maybe.
  24.  
  25. Also, since I already have PC-NFS from sun, would I have to buy
  26. FTP's or Distinct's other softwares to replace it? 
  27.  
  28. Which one will be more flexible, especially in a database application?
  29. (ie. Informix, Oracle and Sybase)?
