- We had the same problem with our Annex terminal server. The Annex
- supports a maximum MTU of 1006, which gives an effective maximum segment
- size of around 950 before the Annex fragments SLIP packets. Last summer
- Xylogics added a parameter that allowed the setting of the MTU, but
- instead of leaving the default at 1006, it was changed to something like
- 256. So if you set this parameter (I don't recall the name) appropriately
- and use a MSS of 950 or less, you won't get fregmentation.
