- A beta version of LPD for PC's is now available using FTP's PC/TCP. I lost
- a few e-mail messages from my first post, so let me know if I haven't
- contacted you yet.
- For those of you unfamiliar with LPD, it is a network print spooler. With
- this product, you can use a PC connected to your network as a print server
- using the lpr protocol. PC/TCP and numerous other packages include a lpr
- client. Here at CSU Chico, we have an old AT serving our new lab of 486
- pc's. We are able to re-use old equipment without spending money we don't
- have.
- If you are interested in testing, drop me some e-mail.

- To avoid confusion (at least I was confused the first time I read
- this), this is not FTP Software's PC/LPD, though the description and
- how it can be used fit PC/LPD to a T. I won't go into a sales spiel
- for PC/LPD. Anyone who is interested can send mail to info@ftp.com
- for more information.
