- As a new arrival in this newsgroup, I am afraid I am going to ask a few FAQ's.
-
- 1) Where can I get the FAQ list for this group ?
-
- 2) Where is the official ftp site for WINQVTNET ?
- I collected 3.1 from src.doc.ic.ac.uk less than 2 weeks ago, and yet
- I hear people talking about 3.6 already ! Is it really moving that fast ?
-
- 3) Is it possible to get WINQVTNET to coexist with NCSA Telnet (run in a DOS
- box under Windows) ? What about KA9Q/NOS ?
- What programs do I need for this ?
-
- 4) I have found I need to use INT61 for my packet driver, as INT60 caused
- WINQVT to crash Windows immediately (back to the DOS prompt !). Any idea
- why this could be ?
-
- 5) I have a Western Digital WD8013EBT compatible card. Is there a packet
- driver specifically for this card ? I am using the WD8003E driver at
- present, but I am not comfortable that this is correct.
-
- 6) Is it possible to run two packet drivers ? I want to use PPP or SLIP
- access to Demon Internet Services (I currently use KA9Q for this), and
- I want to retain Ethernet connection to my other machine.
-
- 7) I heard mention of a PPP packet driver. Where can I find it ?
-
- 8) With PPP or SLIP drivers, the connection has to be established via
- modem at some point. How is this done ? Is it possible to do this
- automatically ?
-
- 9) Is this the right place to ask these questions ?
-
- Please reply by mail (unless YOU think it is more appropriate to reply to
- the net) - I will summarise to the net if asked.
-
- Thanks very much for listening.
