- Hello World!
-
- I've got PPP running on a pair of SPARCstations, but I can't seem
- to get them to route. Here's basically what things look like:
- (Greatly simplified.)
-
- Local Site Remote Site
- +----+ +----+
- | A |--------| D |
- +----+ PPP +----+
- | |
- | <. .> |
- | \ / |
- +----+ Y +----+
- | B | | | E |
- +----+ | +----+
- | |
- | <- Ethernet
- |
- +----+
- | C |
- +----+
-
- That's machines A, B, and C at the local site connected via ethernet and
- machines D and E at the remote site connected to each other via ethernet
- with PPP running between machines A and D over a dial-up line which I
- bring up after the machines are finished booting.
-
- Machines A and D are communicating with each other, but E can't ping A,
- B can't ping D, etc. I've tried a myriad of things, none of which worked.
- Can anybody tell me what I _should_ be doing? Surely someone has this
- working successfully out in Usenet land. Let me know what works, please!
