  11. Help:
  12.     Can anyone inform me a good way to detect when one's modem has
  13. "found" another modem signal.  In other words, how does one discern
  14. between, say, just a dial tone or a voice, and that eeeeeeeeeeecccchhhhh
  15. noise?  There must be some register on the modem, but I cant seem
  16. to find it anywhere.  BTW, I'm coding in C.
