  16. The 1542A is merely an earlier revision of the board. It does NOT
  17. support scatter/gather or residual byte count.

  20. I only work with OS/2 so I cannot speak for all environments/users. As
  21. far as I know all our drivers should work with the A board but we no
  22. longer run compatibilty testing on it. For example the original OS/2 2.0
  23. driver does NOT support the A board but a subsequent revision does. You
  24. may find compatibilty issues with other new software as well. If you do
  25. not have a 1542 yet I recommend buying the B board even if the A board
  26. is available at a great price.
