- I never had the troubles you are describing, but I thought I'd take a moment
- to describe the trouble we had (and haven't yet fixed) with our Tahitis.
- We mounted the Tahiti drive (in a case and with drivers from U.S. Designs,
- a subsidiatry of Maxtor) on the SCSI port of a VAXstation 3100, and it worked
- fine for a couple of months (once we discovered that software drivers were
- necessary), and then they stopped working. We sent the drives back, and the
- same thing happened to the replacements. It would have been convenient to
- be able to have half a gigabyte of removable storage (per side), but all we
- have now are a couple of paperweights.
