  12. I never had the troubles you are describing, but I thought I'd take a moment 
  13. to describe the trouble we had (and haven't yet fixed) with our Tahitis.
  14. We mounted the Tahiti drive (in a case and with drivers from U.S. Designs,
  15. a subsidiatry of Maxtor) on the SCSI port of a VAXstation 3100, and it worked
  16. fine for a couple of months (once we discovered that software drivers were
  17. necessary), and then they stopped working.  We sent the drives back, and the
  18. same thing happened to the replacements.  It would have been convenient to
  19. be able to have half a gigabyte of removable storage (per side), but all we
  20. have now are a couple of paperweights.
