- From my experience on VAXstations with VMS, it is better to turn on/off external
- SCSI devices while they are disconnected from the SCSI (wven disconnect it
- without termination for a few seconds while powering on/off). A few times I
- turned device on/off while connected the system crashed (and sometimes not),
- while it never crashed when I tried to connect/disconnect a powered-on device.
