  20. VisiCom Laboratories did this about 2 years ago. X and MOTIF
  21. standard distributions are available for X11R4 and X11R5 (soon).
  22. Since we had done several previous port of X the move to
  23. vxWorks was relatively easy.  The main problems were in the
  24. "environmental assumptions about UNIX" which implicit in
  25. the prototype code from MIT and OSF.

  27. Now, the product uses client code which is written for any
  28. level of X  (Xlib,Xtoolkit,Athena,MOTIF) and will handle
  29. code generated by most of the GUI builders.

  31. It is in use by several hardware OEMs for use in their custom
  32. products.   It is available now for 68K, SPARC targets.
  33.  
  34. It has a full X server implementation as well as support for
  35. several different hardware display adapters.
