- I've been tasked to install PCA on a two node cluster of 8650s running VMS
- 5.5-2. We got a temporary license for PCA from the local DEC rep, and pulled
- the software and manuals from the CD-ROMs. According to the docs, PCA requires
- DECwindows MOTIF, but we have no reason for DECwindows, except to satisfy the
- PCA link requirements at install time.
-
- I tried to just install the DECwindows shared images that PCA complains about
- not having at install time, but that failed miserably (pretty much as
- expected). Unfortunately, I can't run any of the DECwindows installation
- without having a license registered and loaded. That's a pain, but its also a
- different subject :)
-
- I'm still looking for the temporary DECwindows MOTIF license PAK, but since my
- system disk space is severely limited, I'd like some guidance on the minimum
- DECwindows set that I need to get installed. Neither the PCA docs, nor the
- DECwindows docs give an answer (at least one I recognize).
-
- Any help would be appreciated.
