- Ok, first off I do know that this is Info-Vax/comp.os.vms, but I have no other
- idea as to where to post this.
-
- We (our college) recently set up a small LAN of Ultrix machines (DECStation
- 3100spx). We are trying to get some products that use X11 for network
- communications. Right now all we have that can do that is a game called Xpool
- (ver 4.0). Now this works fine locally, but when we try to run it via net, it
- 'cannot access display.' Both users have the SM security set to allow the
- other node access to the display. We have tried everything possible, that we
- know, to make it work without success.
-
- It is a long shot, buf if anyone has a copy of this program, check and see if
- there are some docs that refer to a file 'default.Xpool' From what we can
- figure, this might have to be in the home directory of each user. Has anyone
- ever seen/used this program?
-
- One last pair of questions: Is there a mailing list similar to Info-Vax for
- the Ulrix side of DEC? And where could we find some _nice_ X11 sources?
-
- Please send me e-mail if you can help/have any ideas on this. That way,
- Info-Vax won't be bogged with non Info-Vax messages!
-
- Thanks in advance!
