- There have appeared some boards for Amiga machines recently that
- do voice recognition/commands. Even, there's a PD application that
- recognizes simple commands using a voice digitizer, just runs on
- a stock amiga with a digitizer (which costs maybe $60). Amigas are
- inexpensive enough they might be cheaper than a decvoice; there
- are decnet, novell, and appletalk (and the obligatory slip based
- ka9q tcp/ip) for Amiga to network them to your vaxen...extra cost
- for most of these, unfortunately.
- AmigaDos has an interesting software construct called the
- speak: device by the way...just dump normal ASCII to it, and it
- emits it in spoken English, doing a usually pretty decent job.
- This is stock with every Amiga.

- On an unrelated matter: I too would like more responses of
- (local) use of the DEL command to delete postings one dislikes
- rather than flames about them. Especially abusive flames. The flames
- like yesterday's unix one (I laughed for 20 minutes!) are welcome,
- and some creative cursing ("illegitimate son of a maggot!") would
- occasionally be also. Long flame wars "should" be over "net religious"
- issues, though, not attacks on bumbling questions or questioners. ;-)
